Ok.. here is my situation at hand, and any advice or help would be
much appreciated.
My sis has a six month old laptop, and for some reason all of a
sudden it started to get a few errors at boot (I dont know what they
were - she forgot) then it started to BSOD at boot time and go into a
continous loop never pausing longer than a half a second for me to
read the BSOD info. So that computer is all under warrenty so I am
not worried about the PC but I took her HD out and using an adapter
hooked her laptop hd into my desktop to burn all her personal info
off before she has to return the unit or whatnot. Anyway the pickle
is this, once her HD is hooked up it wont let me access her user
files because sje had this user password protected.. we have the
password, but that is useless now, right? How can I get into the
files so I can make copies of everything? Is there anywhere I can put
in the PW so I can access her files?
You have to take ownership of the files.
