I don't have a Wireless Tab but in the properties for the HID Compliant
mouse, there is a box checked for "Allow this device to bring the computer
out of standby." The batteries have just been replaced.
Thanks,
Tom

Open Control Panel>Double Click on Mouse Icon>Click on Wireless tab>Check
the Battery Status there. If necessary replace the exsisting batteries with
new one.

I originally posted this plea on the hardware forum but didn't get too
many responses. One person suggested I turn off power management and I
did ... no help. The other response suggested I buy a new mouse. I'd
rather get this one working correctly. Here is the original posting.
==================================================
My Microsoft Wireless Optical mouse (attached to my laptop via USB hub)
will
not work after I have left it for a while unless I click the left button.
In fact, I just did some experimentation and found that it works (moves
the
cursor) if I move the mouse within 60 seconds of the last time I used it,
but at 61 seconds or more, I must click a button to make it respond.
This
sometimes causes trouble when the mouse is focused on top of something I
didn't want to click.
TIA,
Tom
