Re: Win XP Event Errors

I found and removed the "Anypoint driver" thank you.
While in the "Non plu n play " I noticed that the "Team MFP Comm Driver" had
a yellow question mark so I hit "Troubleshoot" and it say's uninstall and
reinstall.
My problem is that I do not know which hardware this driver is for so I
cannot reinstall?
Also in "Unknown Devices" there are 3 entries for "Unknown device",
uninstall and reinstall was also recommended, again I do not know what they
are.
Is there a way of finding out about these things?
Many thanks

I'll try. First, check Add/Remove Programs for a Uninstaller of the Intel
modem/software. If not found, then the modem is "Orphaned" or known
to XP but not in it's current hardware profile. You'll need to set a
System
Environment variable DevMgr_Show_NonPresent_Devices and set it's
value to 1. Then open Device Manager, Click View, tic/check "Show
Hidden Devices". Check in both Modems & Universal Serial Bus Ctrls
for the device and uninstall. While in Device Manager if you check the
Non-Plug and Play category you'll likely find your modem updater service
there. (Uninstall).
Before making any changes to the Registry always export the key(s) or
use Erunt to make a backup.

Fun thing to spend your Saturday (Morning, Afternoon or Evening) doing ?

Hi R McCarty.
Many thanks for your prompt response.
I no longer have this broadband modem attached and it is not listed in
control panel/modems.
Could you please tell me where to find the key that I need to alter, also
should I remove the Intel 4.1 folder from my registry.
Thanks again

Sounds like you may have an Automated/Background service to update
a USB modem. This is a mid to higher level type of problem to resolve.
Usually, this "Lkbdhlpr" is starting as a Service. To resolve the
error(s)
you'll need to use Regedit and set the Service Start mode to Disabled
(4).
Most likely this is on the machine from the Driver package for the
modem.

I recently used EventVwr.msc to check a problem and found that 2 errors
occur every time I start my computer.
I clicked the link to MS but received a "Sorry no further info" notice.
The errors were listed as follows
The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load:

Lkbdhlpr

Error 7026

The Intel(R) AnyPoint(R) 3240 USB Modem Firmware Loader service failed
to start due to the following error:

The system cannot find the file specified.

Error 7000

Can anyone please help

Thanks
