RE: IE Behavior

I experience a very similar problem on my laptop.

I can start browsing the internet after about 20 minutes upon bootup...

I have the tray icons of the network connections near the clock (both when
disconnected and connected), they don't appear if not after about 20-30
minutes, exactly when I can start using web browser...

No particular error events in the event viewer, already scanned with
antivirus, antispyware, etc .
A curiosity: the events of the series 7035/7036 begin after about 30 minutes
since boot time...

For the rest, I can open ssh connections in the meanwhile, I can even using
redirection of X server of linux machine, and browsing with netscape
redirected with X.

I have 2 nics, one wireless and one fastethernet lan, at home I use the
wirelss, at work the cabled, and the problem is the same

Of course, I have XP sp2 and the latest patches.
The problem has begun in december, in the first days I experienced also
freezed desktop, for about 2 - 3 minutes after boot and freezed taskbar, from
start menu to the clock. Everything stopped when the icons of nics finally
appeared... and the system became stable...

Any suggestion?

Hello. I seem to be having some extrange IE behaviors. Upon boot up, I can
open IE and browse the internet. After a while, I am unable to use IE to
browse the internet. It would seem that there is not internet connection. I
can then open CMD and ping web sites. I thought it was an IE problem so I
downloaded Opera and firefox. Both of the programs experecience same
behavior. Use hijack tool, MS ANtispyware and other adware removal tools to
do scan and nothing came up. Running latest McAfee definition files and
latest OS patches for Windows XP SP2. Conducted full system scan with McAfee
and nothing came up. Looked at start up programs and there is nothing out of
the ordinary there. Any suggestions? By the way, I use Window Washer to
regularly clear my browser cache, etc.

When the behavior accurs I am still able to open Outlook and bring down
email or use a FTP program to upload files to my personal web site.

When the behavior occurs , I am not even able to access my router via the
normal 192.168.x.x web address. Again, pinging is not a problem. There is
internet connectivity. I could use my work laptop, and I am able to browse. I
have checked it with a laptop and my son's PC. All running same Win Xp SP2
with latest packages, etc. They do not experience the same behavior.

Your assiatnce is apperciated.
Hello, This has happened to my unit (once in a while) for the last 2 months,
found no answers.
Have GoBack installed and use it as soon as this problem occurs. Return to
the last safe point and continue without problem.
Can the e-mail program be used to send mail?
Has anyone try to use System Restore after the problem occurs?
Is there any way of finding what happened right before this behavior occurs?
I simple use the system have "very" little knowledge.
Windows XP Home SP2 with latest updates, IE6, OE6.
Hope that someone can find an answer to this minor problem.
take care
