You are going to read some garbage about "You can't trust
eBay" for REAL copies of Windows XP.
Nonsense. I read a disclaimer about that on eBay. They
monitor software sales CLOSELY. (If you think about it, they
have to).
My copy ($55) of Windows XP Pro is registered,
and there are those downloads that require a special
"Validation" key.
Mine has been validated, I gave a copy to my son (same
last name), he has registered his, and they validated his,
too.
You CAN buy Windows XP safely on EBay. And if something
isn't right, report it to Ebay IMMEDIATELY.
The offender WILL be prosecuted, and you will get your money
back.
And-- don't believe me-- read Ebay's policies regarding the
sales of software-- Microsoft's or anyone else's.
Good luck!
