If you have say $75, you'd be better off to hop on Ebay and
get a copy of XP Home, or better yet XP Pro.
You can install that with nothing but a bare system and the
CD Rom.
IT is quite easy to install. Just follow the prompts.
I recently purchased the full XP Pro (no SP 2, which I
download),
for under $60.00
Then you wouldn't need to worry about your eMachine's
install s/w or recovery disks. You could just load whatever
"extras" are on those other disks.
drivers, Norton, McAfee, whatever.
