Re: WinXP home safe mode help needed

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

Tried the PS2 converter but keyboard didn't work at all from that.
Used an old PS2 keyboard which got me into BIOS just as it should, set PS2
mouse and Legacy USB both to 'enabled' and that changed nothing with the
Belkin Keyboard.
M/B is AsusTeK A7N8X-LA which AsusTeK don't list (the LA bit) - (it's one
that HP Compaq have for their own brand PC's methinks) so I'm struggling a
bit to find recomendations ref updating BIOS, and I do read some horror
stories in this area that make me a bit cautious.

It looks as though while I have had this Belkin keyboard/mouse I probably
have not tried to boot in safe mode after all (I was a bit vague here), but
I'm more comfortable now to know I have a keyboard that will get me into
BIOS should I need to.

Thanks to you I'm a little further up my learning curve, and although I may
not have the best solution right now, will continue to search for it.

Thanks again for your help
