Frank,
You can change the 'Type' information for a particular extension. For
example, if you move your mouse over an 'Word' document with extension .doc,
the 'Type' area says Microsoft Word Document', This can be changed by
opening Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > File Types. Scroll down
to the file's extension, in this case .doc. Highlight the DOC extension,
click 'Advanced'. You can change the 'Type' info in the 'Change Icon' box.
This is probably a bad example, other extensions have a lenghly sentence in
the spot (see .csv). Changing the Author & Title references are done from
the document's 'Properties' > Summary section, in this example, using
Winword.
