Sometimes you just have to. :-) Last month, my ISP, Frontier, told me that
the reason my newsgroup posts were being delayed for hours was that I was
running ZoneAlarm. I commented that the configuration of this computer
hadn't changed in over a year. But still, I shut down ZA, and the problem
persisted. He then said that ZA leaves remnants of itself in the registry
which can interfere blah blah blah. He then gave me his direct phone
extension and told me to call if the problem wasn't fixed by the next day.
???????? It was, although somehow, it was fixed without my having to do
anything.
