You can't upgrade from XP Pro to XP Home (actually you woyuld be down
grading), but why would your friend wish to do that? XP professional is used
for business customers, while Home is, as it say's, for home users.
Professional has more features than home. he would be better to stick with
Professional. he doesn't need the home edition
