Ok, the drive and discs match, are you using Windows Explorer to copy the backup file to the drive? Or are you attempting to directly go from the "backup wizard" in the genealogy program to the CDRW. If the later, I suggest backing up to the hard drive first and then do a copy in Windows Explorer, (followed by write these files to CD)

Tried various CD`s new and used.
