I'm expericeing the same problem, but what do you mean by "disconnect your
system from the internet"? Turn off modem? unplug the cable? close the
browser?
Do some clean boot troubleshooting to identify the program causing the
problem. Then you can decide if you need to remove it or fix in some
other fashion.
