Group,
My internet explorer has taken to going offline for no apparent reason. When refreshing a page a dialogue box appears and says "No internet connection available" with an option to "Work offline" or "Try again". When the try again box is clicked, I am immediately reconnected and things go along as normal. This is a recent occurrence.
What setting could be causing this?
I have tried changing firewall preferences, checked Microsoft anti-spyware, checked ZoneAlarm, and AVG. None seem to have any preferences or possible options that would cause this.
TIA for any help. Also, suggestions for posting to a more appropriate newsgroup would be welcomed.

It would help a lot if you could tell us if you connect to the Internet via cable, dsl or dial up. And, if you want to help us even more, you might want to reveal the name of your ISP.
