Re: NIS 2006 & Recycle Bin Problems

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

If you don't want to discuss NIS here, maybe you shouldn't offer your opinions on it.

To begin with, NIS is a Symantec product so it's not really appropriate to bring up issues with it in here. Ask Symantec for help with their product.

Secondly I, as do many others in here, believe the quality of many Symantec products is lacking, and their recent offerings are no different - bloatware among other issues. Just do a cursory scan of the posts in this group to see how many issues are caused by these products.

My advice was a reasonable attempt to discuss how to deal with a problem with NIS. If it works on your system fine but for many it causes problems and the best advice is to avoid it. There are other good solutions that work well in it's place. Sorry you don't like the advice, but then again, don't take it if you don't agree with it.
