Re: Diaplay Backround, No text viewable.

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

What happens when you opt for Safe Mode, then when the Welcome screen finally comes up,
you select your user name from the Welcome screen, then before the Safe Mode desktop
loads, and the dialog box asks if you want the Safe Mode desktop to load click YES, or if
you want to go directly to System Restore click NO, and you click NO? Do you go to System
Restore? If System Restore is turned on, are you sure that you do not have a Restore
Point from a date prior to this problem? Normally that only happens if you have a small
hard drive, or if you have manually changed/lessened the amount of space to be allocated
for System Restore Points, or have waited more than a week to try to repair problem. With
a problem as serious as this one, it would be unlikely that you waited long enough for all
Restore Points prior to the problem to be gone (replaced by newer ones which contain
settings that cause the problem). The dates containing Restore Points are the dates on
the calendar in bold font. There should be some System Checkpoints (auto-created System
Restore Points).
