Small footprint network performance monitor?

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I'd like to have a simple performance monitor on screen that will display a wireless network adapter speed at the moment and possibly an average, running on XPpro SP2. Windows Task Manager > Networking, MMC Performance, and Wireless Network Connection Status all use too much real estate on the 1280x1024 screen. Is there a small-footprint third party monitor available for download?
