On the Desktop, right-click and select Properties from the bottom of
the menu (with a left-click).
Select the Desktop tab.
Select the Customize Desktop button at the bottom of the dialog box.
Fron the General tab, select the items you want to display. The first
choices listed are My Documents, My Computer, My Network Places, and
Internet Explorer. Checking these boxes will place icons on your
desktop.
