On my home computer, we turn the computer on, everything looks like it's
happening normally, then voila we are brought to the page where it used
to list our User profiles. The user profiles are missing, there is
absolutely no way to login to the desktop. Pressing ctrl - alt-delete,
brings up a login window, but nothing we are entering into it works. My
question is, is this a virus that has wiped out our users and profiles?
Is there some way of getting into it to at least try and fix the
problem? HELP! I've never seen a computer work but just have users
disappear before.
We've tried to logon to the computer using all different ways, safe
mode, etc etc. Nothing works.
Thanks
More info is needed, for starters, is this XP Pro or XP Home?
