Hi Mark,

Norton AntiVirus and NIS cause increasingly more problems.
I am fed up with it and quit using it LIKE MANY OTHERS.
These products are resource hogs, slow down boot speed and
program launches, fail to update / scan sometimes, fail to detect
virusses while other products did see the virus.

In case of problems, the Symantec knowledgebase advises
frequently to remove and re-install. NAV / NIS.
As even removing doesn't work smooth anymore you may
have to download their special removal / uninstall tool.
After all, even the re-install did not solve the issue..... argh !!!

If you plan the leave the Symantec path, use the removal tool
as well to prevent problems with other security products.
