Are you both using the same email address? if yes, then copy EXACTLY what is in the win2k. Pay attention to the pop3 stuff. you never mentioned if you can send email. If you have established a new email address for you on the same account, you must log into your isp and create an email account for you under the master account typically. (assuming they allow multiple emails)

I am running windows xp sp2 and my husband has windows 2k. Yesterday we finally! got dsl installed. We are networked and both able to be online at the same time, but while he can download email, all I get is an error message "an error occurred with the POP3 mail server. Mail server pop.xxx.xxx responded:" and that is it. I have tried everything I can possibly think of to fix this situation, but no luck. Any of you brains have any ideas for me?
What E-mail client software are you using? Have you set it up properly with the correct pop2 server name?

We are both using the same email address. It is one that we have had for a while. I can send mail through the same server. Our settings are identical, and have not changed from before dsl when everything worked for me. Liz .
