Right now I do two types of synchronizing:
1. I run BackStick.bat that copies a bunch of wide spread files to a
memory card, and home.bat that copies them to my other computer. That
second batch file copies one subdirectory back, and I have to remember
whether to move them elsewhere to stop this process. It appears
that Briefcase is a GUI application with a lot of finding and dragging
required - can I automate this process so that it can run like a batch
application?
2. I copy a whole bunch of files to a disk as a backup. Then I copy
them to my 2nd computer. These are mainly my photo album, but
include other stuff in My Documents. This appears to be more
applicable to a GUI application. I used to fit these on a CD, but
now use a re-writeable DVD. Will Briefcase work with DVD yet? I
can't get Windows to write to my DVD and use Nero for those backups.
