It seems you lost your file type/application association for .html
and .htm files. To restore the file association, try to open
(double-click) an .htm/.html file. If you get a message saying "Windows
cannot open this file", choose _Selet the program from a list_ and
press OK. Internet Explorer will be one of the listed programs. Select
Internet Explorer and check _Always use the selected program to open
this kind of file_. You will probably need to perform the steps for
both .html and .htm files.
