I don't think that's the problem. I reinstalled Flash, it still
wouldn't work. A couple of days ago I tried to go to some census data
at
http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/ga/mcintosh/census/1840/0081a.gif
and it does the same thing - closes after about a second. I contacted
the webmaster, and she said that it worked for her. I think I checked
"block popups" on some third party software I was trying that may be
causing the problem. Other than these two sites, I usually I get a
bar at the top saying that the popup has been blocked, but these
briefly open and close.
(I may need to ask on the IE newsgroup about having too many popup
blockers.)
