Hi.
Adobe is good but if you just need a .pdf reader you can try out Foxit PDF
reader here http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php
It is very small and nice, not such a heavy program as Adobe reader and it
is clean as far as I know.
Disable the function in Norton to scan incomming e-mails also, that "can" be
one reason for you to not being able to send or receive.
