Thanks Brian , I had a look at your links at now im back to explain my problem ... I have plugged it into the correct jack in the desktop and i tried to find the device manager but i couldnt find it ,
Right click MyComputer. Click Properties > Hardware tab > Device manager button.
or when in Control Panel double click the System applet. Click Hardware tab > device Manager button.
i did try " Does your sound
device show in Control Panel Sounds and Audio Devices Audio tab as the preferred device? " and it has intel ( r ) Integrated audio and modem # 1 line playback the first one is selected .
I don't know for sure, but intel ( r ) Integrated audio doesn't seem right. My thoughts at this time is the software for the integrated audio isn't installed.
Can you please provide:
Computer manufacturer, make/model.
Motherboard manufacturer make/model.
Chip manufacturer make/model.
The best way to get any information needed: Everest Home Edition(Free): http://www.lavalys.com/products.php?lang=en
Create a new folder named Everest and extract the contents of the download to that folder. Open the folder and double-click everest.exe to run the application.
If you are not sure what next step to take, other than downloading/installing from the manufacturers support site.
Click the + next to Computer.
Click Summary.
On the menu bar click Report > Quick Report-Summary > Plain text.
Save to your desktop and close Everest.
Open the report on the desktop. Delete everything from Debug on down to the bottom of the page and save. Press CTRL+A to select all. Press CTRL+C to copy and close out. Open a response in this thread and press CTRL+V to paste. Post the results in a response to this thread.
