After upgrading to Windows Media Player 10 (Version 10.00.00.3646) in XP Home SP2, I noticed the videos (WMV) do not always play smooth. I did not
have this problem in WMP 9.
This annoying problem in WMP 10 occurs when WMV file played locally on the
computer's hard drive. I created a few WMV files from Photo Story 3 and
they play the same way.

cant connect to server???? ... Whenever I click a .wmv file on the web, WMP comes up and has a message ...'locating media' for a few seconds, ... "Windows Media Player cannot connect to the server.... I can navigate to the site with IE, copy the file to my desktop and then WMP... (microsoft.public.multimedia.windows.mediaplayer)
Re: .wmv and .asf files not found by WMP 11 ... main page by dragging the file into an open web browser window.... I dragged the wmv file to the FF window and, just like when I do the test ... from the note I was getting from WMP originally, but is the way the error has ... (microsoft.public.windowsmedia.player)
