| hi I have a windows XP on my network I set it to Automatically start

| it started messenger but messenger still didnt work properly it said

| PS I have SP2 and spysweeper 4.5 I have shut down the spysweeper shield
| but I was wondering if it could be inhibbiting the messenger setings

Did you run services.msc and sepecifically indicate the the Messenger Service to start
"automatic".

Or you can open a Command Prompt and enter...

sc config messenger start= auto
