Bob
Did you turn off System Restore before you started?
There a lot of W32.Spybot variants but here a fact *** on one variant: http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.spybot!dr.html
After getting current definitions did you run the anti-virus scan in Safe Mode?

Hope this helps.

Ok, all attempts I've made to get rid of this virus have failed. Everytime I
think I get rid of it and log back on my computer, Norton says it finds it
again. This has happened numerous times, atleast 6 times. I've gone into and
cleaned up my registry, I've taken all the steps listed on Norton's site and
the funny thing is, everytime Norton detects it it, It says it's successfuly
deleted it and everytime I log on my computer, there it is:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogi.exe. Can anyone offer any advice on what to do?
This is becoming a real problem.
