I know this is not one you're considering, but, I've used Trend Micro's
PC-cillin for many years and now use PC-cillin Internet security. I've never
been bothered with a virus since I started using it. It downloads new
definitions sometimes several times a day and you have the choice of being
notified when a download is available or letting it update in the
background. All that is required if you are notified is to click yes on the
notification window ... I find it very effective.
