I would download and use DiskSpeed32 to test the actual
throughput on the Flash drive.

For example, My MiniCruzer 256
(Optimized for Quick Removal -- No Write Cache)
Access Time ~7.5 Ms
Throughput ~6.2 Meg-per-Second
(Optimized for Performance -- Write Cache Enabled)
Access Time ~7.5 Ms
Throughput ~6.6 Meg-per-Second
