I would like use the best Drive Image and Backup program available. I have look at Norton Ghost v9 but I have read lots of negative comments
like slow 4.5 hours to restore to C: partition which was only
2.8gb, you can only restore from within windows (not very good if
windows is down or the H/D expire), requires the 24+ MB .Net runtime
and is, itself, a very large installation, is this not Bloat Ware. So
what do I use?
windows xp shutdown - remote procedure call (rpc) problem ... it's about 2-3 days that my system shows a message about windows will ...restore and i can't, cause the system restore doesn't run! ... 2- i have a backup file of my system state created by windows backup ... also when i restore my system using backup program... Using Windows Backup ... I have been using the Backup program that comes with ...Windows XP to back up my entire primary hard drive to a ... how would I restore a back up? ... need to install XP on my new hard drive, ... (microsoft.public.windowsxp.security_admin)

Re: please help with system restore. ... delete a lot of restore point. ... Your files are not backed up by system restore.... and use a good backup program, such as Norton Ghost, or Norton Save and ... (microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support)
