RE: Enabling Stand By/Hibernate from Task Manager

Hi,

Thanks for posting here.

>From your post, my understanding of this issue is: When you access the Task
Manager on a remote computer via Remote Desktop, you find that under the
Shut Down menu, Standby and Hibernate options are grayed out. If this is
not correct, please feel free to let me know.

Based on my experience, this issue may be resolved by the following method:

Disable the Welcome Screen on the host computer.
-------------------------------------------------
a. Click Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Change the way users
log on or off, clear all the checkboxes and click Apply Options.

b. Restart the computer.

c. Test the issue again.

Hope this helps!

Have a nice day!

Sincerely,
Tom Che
