Go to Dell's web site.
Specifically here:
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs
( Short Link: http://snipurl.com/e21p )
- Type in your Service Tag number (If you don't know it, the web
page has a link to help you find it.) OR choose your product
type/model.
- Click on The Circular Blue and White Arrow next to whichever
data you enter.
- Choose your operating system (XP, right?) and Language and
then click on "Find Downloads".
Looking under "Video Drivers" and assuming you have not upgraded on your
own, you have one of three choices to make:
--> Intel 845 G/GL Integrated Video
--> Intel Intel Grantsdale G Integrated Video
--> Intel Springdale G Integrated Video
Lucky for you, the choixes narrow to two when you realize the first two
actually send you the same driver. I would bet that is the one you have -
choose either of the first two, download and run the driver...Reboot and
change your resolution appropriately.
If that fails - choose the third option and try that..
If that fails - tell us what Video Card you put in yourself...
You may want to update all of your hardware drivers while you are here.
