A stall at 34 minutes usually means it's having problems with some piece of
hardware. Most of the time, (in my experience) it's the network card, but it
could be anything else that's installed or attached.
Unplug everything external like printer, scanner, whatever. Take out extra
cars like network, sound etc. Go into the BIOS and turn off any onboard
network, sound, modem that exists.
Once the install is finished, you can turn it all on again, and it should
detect properly.
