Re: Problems with USB caddy

A caddy is used to transport the device: HD or DVD to another enclosure.
The enclosure (not the caddy) may be external, or internal and accessible at
the front of the PC. Are we talking the same language?

Most USB2 hard drive enclosures require the inserted HD to be set as master.

Are you using a certified high-speed USB (USB2) cable?

Have you tried any other USB device on the USB port?

Most likely, the onboard USB chip is NEC. Do you know who makes it?
