Hello,
You can hover over the clock in the notification area and a balloon message will display the date
and month. Alternatively, you can also double the height of the taskbar and the date would be
displayed alongwith the time. Double clicking the time on the notification area (if you are an admin
user) will bring up the date/time applet under which you can view a detailed calendar and modify the
date/month/time.
