Your post is unclear - broadband does not normally involve dialing
anything up. Please describe your Internet connection better.
Usually with DSL or cable, you would set the dialup to either "only dial
when network connection is not present" or "never dial".
Have you got a current version antivirus in place? What firewall are you
using? Is the computer malware-free? If not, do the steps here:
