sharing with a guest?

Hi All,
I hope that someone may have a simplified answer to an otherwise difficult
task I have at hand. First the info:
I am running 2 desktops at my house. The first (main computer) runs XP Pro
and the other (kids) runs 98SE/2000 networked together. I as well have my
laptop (XP Pro) which runs off the network wireless. I can read the files
between all and transfer, etc.
I have a guest that will be house sitting for us and will have access to
using the main desktop. I have created a "Guest" account that is not set to
administrator level. Now here is my concern.
I would like to allow the guest to be able to use the computer, access the
internet, but not download files onto the computer. I would as well like to
not have them see "My Documents" and it's contents. If I turn off file
sharing or make "My Documents" private, it goes through a sequence of events
to make this possible. However, I am told though that with my laptop, I will
not be able to see these files again until I turn the file sharing back on.
Is this true? If so, then I guess I will turn the sharing off when I leave,
and back on when I return.
However, how do I limit the access to the Internet so that files are not
downloaded. I have excellent security layers, but obviously they will do
nothing if someone allows the download to take place.
I apologize for the longwinded message above and any assistance that can be
provided.
Regards,
Sam
