if you are using a fat32 file system download a 98 bootdisk and expand it to
a floppy.
boot with the floppy in and you will get the C prompt. From there you can
format the drive/partition XP is on.This will delete everything on that
drive/partition.Then you can reinstall XPSP1.At the present time you have
SP2 and it will not let you install an older version over it .
If you are using a NTFS file system you need to slipstream SP2 into XPSP1 in
order to reinstall.
