Thanks for your help..............I may have not explained it correctly. When I start my computer, when Windows is loaded, all I see is a blue screen with 3 names, my log on names for my grandson, my daughter and myself. What I like to do is shut down the computer from that screen, w/o having to log in first.

If you mean the Welcome Screen, there is a shutdown link on the lower left area. Or use Ctrl-Alt-Del to open the Task Manager which has a shutdown link.
