Thanks for the info!
I would imagine that the power management settings, even if the guest does
not have permission to change them, would get it's setting from how it is set
in the other (administrative) user acct. Specifically, as the administrator,
I have the machine set to "do nothing" when I close the lid. However, the
guest account sets itself to "go on standby" when the lid is shut. This is
what I find strange.
(I use the guest account during the summer when I'm working out of state and
am housed with other colleagues who don't have computers - that way I can
leave my computer on and they can easily access email whether or not I am
here.)
