Lost connection icon in tray

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Hi -

Windows XP he with all current SP's & updates on a Dell Inspiron 4150 laptop

Recently I lost the icon in my systray when I use dialup connections. So, I
have no notification what the connection speed is or click for disconnect.
Already verified the connectoid and modem options are set to display icon in
systray.

If I right-click the connectiod in the start menu's "connect to..." I can
disconnect, but no info ever displays if I select "Status". Searched
through Kelly's fixes but didn't spot it. Is it there? Did a recent MS
update bug the connection notification icon. Any suggestions?

Thanks

.
