After sp2 kicked in I kicked it off.

I have been resisting the sp2 install, but finally allowed it to
download,then everything turned to mud! So I did a reinstall of xpprosp1, I
then did a search for c: and got back many of the non xp programs, but now
most of the buttons ie APPLY buttons in sp1 are greyed out! When I
CTRL+ALT+DEL to look at the running processes I get an enlarged version of
the bar graph for cpu usage only, any ideas on firstly how to direct the
running processes to change back,and secondly any idea's on how to direct
windows to allow me to use the APPLY buttons when I choose?
