Try Alt + F4 to close the top window.

Consider the Recommended Minimal Security Settings at

Activate the pop-up blocker that's included with IE6 SP2, or the pop-up
blocker that's a part of the Google toolbar, MSN toolbar and Yahoo toolbar.
