That's a "feature" of the provided software. Another "feature" is that
nobody seems to know of a way to have the files automatically zipped
before being put on the CD, to save room if you have lots of little files.

The only solution anyone has offered, when using the Microsoft supplied
software, is to manually zip the files yourself, which will save the
original date/time stamp, and then copy the zip file to the CD.
