Uninstall Updates Folders

If I burned all the update and sp2 uninstall files to a dvd and then deleted
them from windows and at a later time wanted to uninstall sp2 or any update
and moved them back to windows would that work ? The only reason I would want
to do this is in case I needed to do a repair installation later. I have a
notebook and would like to have the hard drive space.
