Thank you all who replied. However, I knew the location of the .dbx files OK
trouble is that the files found in this locationa re the .dbx files up to mid
2004 when I switched to XP from 2000. The messages from the start of the win
XP up to the day of the automatic update are missing. I REPEAT. I DID AN
AUTOMATIC UPDATE WHEN SHUTING DOWN AND THE NEXT TIME I HAVE LOST EMAIL
RECORDS UP TO TIME OF THE UPDATE. dbx files at the said location are ok but
up to start of XP some 11months ago.
