Anomaly with NIS 2003 and MS Knowledge Base link

OS: Genuine XP Pro SP2 with all updates.
If I access the Microsoft home page with Norton Internet Security
2003 enabled, the Knowledge Base link does not appear under
Support. Only the bullet dot appears. If I disable NIS and refresh
the page the link appears. This is with Outlook Express. It's the
same with Firefox, only the bullet doesn't even appear. If I re-enable
NIS, with the link there, the Knowledge Base is fully accessible.
This seems to have started with an NIS 2003 update in the last six
months or so. What I can't figure out is what's so different about
the Knowledge Base link. The URL is almost identical to the other
Support links.
