Re: Brother MFC4420C

Dear Mary Sauer,

Thnak you for your response; I did uninstall the MFC4420C driver with the
uninstall file from Brother and then folllowed the procedure for re
installing the driver downloaded from Brother. It did not work, I then re
installed the Windows files with restore again no improvement; I then did a
full restore with format to get back to manufacturer's specs again no success.

I changed the printer cable ensuring no longer than 6 ft, changed USB port
and deleted the printer driver and re installed at least 5 times thoughout
all of this. I am completely confounded especially since any other Brother
printers lent to me by the seller work fine (2 different printers)

To me it seems either my version of Windows is not compatible or else there
is a problem with the printer; the worst of it is I keep getting ..document
failed to print ... receiving data...data remains etc most of the time but
occasionnally the document will print a few lines, and very occasionnaly the
whole document will print.

I contacted Brother, searched their data base, searched the Microsoft
database no help and any messages sent to product support from Brother remain
unanswered.

Anyway excuse this long harangue, but I am completedly frustated.

Best regards,

Claude Constantineau
