Ah, Bobby, just noticed something - you've made one of the classic
grammatical errors - confusing 'insure' with 'ensure'; they are *not*
interchangable. Consider the following sentence: -
I must ensure that I insure my car adequately.
OK, it's not Shakespeare, but it does illustrate the point.
ensure verb (ensured, ensuring) 1 to make something certain; to assure or
guarantee it. 2 to make (a thing or person) safe and secure.
insure verb (insured, insuring) 1 tr & intr to arrange for the payment of an
amount of money in the event of the loss or theft of or damage to (property)
or injury to or the death of (a person), etc by paying regular amounts of
money to an insurance company. 2 to take measures to try to prevent (an
event leading to loss, damage, difficulties, etc). 3 intrans, chiefly N Amer
to provide insurance; to underwrite.
Having said that, up until the 17th, or 18th, century, it was used
interchangably with 'ensure'. It's only latterly has it come to mean what it
does today.
